Stretch And Recovery

Welcome to Workout Anywhere’s favorite compilation of stretches and cool down exercises designed to enhance flexibility and mobility. All one needs is a few minutes, and the will to improve, because finishing a workout without proper stretching is not really finishing a full routine.

The Workout Anywhere Stretch & Cool Down Playlist

For best practices, stretch post-workout, and use one of our dynamic warm-ups for warming up before the main workout or strength sections. Warming up with movement is ideal for injury prevention and simply how the body was intended to move and prepare for optimal performance.

Static Stretching is great, but not as a warm-up. Stretching prepares muscle tissue for growth and repair during the recovery cycle and is best used post-workout. Think about what happens to a frozen rubber band! So, just don’t stretch pre-workout.

Stretch and Cool Down Post Workout:

Pick at least 6 stretches and hold for 20-30 seconds each (for best results, do them all in order).  It’s okay to go through the stretch series a couple times.  For an amazing post-workout stretch bonus, try foam rolling.
