This winter has been an amazing experience for myself and for our Mt.Spokane High School Wildcats and Mountainside Middle School Mountain Lions (from Mead and Colbert). Not only did we work hard, but we played hard too (on occasion and as seen in the video below) and the athletic progress was tremendous!

Not only did we have more 7th & 8th graders than ever, we had more athletes from a wide array of team sports. Those include Mt.Spokane football, baseball, softball, soccer, gymnastics, track & field, tennis, cross-country, volleyball and wrestling.

Our philosophy on training total athletes, over sport specific goals?

The luxury of being a career trainer and training Mt. Spokane High School team sports for over ten years, has allowed myself and Coach Jessica Rundle to constantly innovate our training programs and pinpoint the needs of different sports.

Although there are a number of new programs catering to sport specific goals, the reality is that most sports have similar athletic demands. For baseball and softball players, there’s a demand for extra shoulder strength and mobility, as well as balanced core strength and overall power. However, all team sports can benefit from exercises and training protocols targeting these areas.

Additionally, beyond these training goals, there’s so much more to making a total athlete. That is why, we’ve focused on the total athlete, and wrapped most sport specific training needs into an overall athlete training program for Mt. Spokane High School teams.

The results

The outcome has been amazing! Our Mountainside Middle Schoolers started with the simple basics (with our Foundation Program), and quickly elevated their strength, speed and power performance gains that resembles many high school freshman and some sophomores in the area.

Our high schoolers, especially those who’ve been in past programs received a stronger push, and many are more than ready for their Spring sports. Plus, if they stay consistent with their training, they’ll most likely have the PR’s some of our best Wildcat athletes have had or better (some of these Wildcats have gone on to collegiate sports).

What’s next?

We strongly encourage all of our Mt. Spokane Wildcats and Mountainside Middle Schoolers to participate in a Spring sport. Additionally, we will providing a Spring maintenance program by email and grant access to our training app Workout Anywhere to all of our RundleFit athletes.

As well, we still have early morning / evening programs at Mt. Spokane High School and have family specials for those interested in getting fitter and stronger with their parents.

Save the date! Next camp starts June 19th, with three different class times! More details will be sent to your email inbox soon.

Not on the list? Let us know where we should send the camp details?
