What are the best home workouts without equipment? Read on to learn more.

Why try the best home workouts without equipment?  There is a common misconception in the fitness world, where the belief of obtaining the ultimate fitness level, weight loss and lean muscle growth are only possible at a nearby gym.  As a long time personal trainer, strength coach, nutritionist, fitness writer and CrossFit athlete, I’m going to explain why a commercial gym is not only impractical, but also an inconvenience and hinderance to most fitness goals.

Focus on the task at hand.

Once you have established your fitness goal, design a plan of attack.  If your goal is weight loss, lean muscle growth, improved athleticism or enhancing overall health and fitness, then a commercial gym may not be the best solution.  Over my tenure as a trainer, I have witnessed waves of people starting a gym membership and leaving shortly thereafter.  As well, I have picked up on gym behavior that has nothing to do with fitness.  Unless you’re laser focused and disciplined about getting your workout in, there are a number of distractions, social groups and limitations on equipment that can hinder the effectiveness of your program.  Not to mention, if you are making the extra commute to a gym you already paid handsomely for, then it seem reasonable to expect results.  However, wading through the distractions can be exhausting and more of a round about method towards progress.

The best workouts are actually home workouts.

Now you may be wondering, what are my alternatives?  In truth, there are a plethora of solutions.  Even when I trained within agym, clients loved my workout programs that resembled home workouts without weights.  I’m referring to home workout programs that are composed of mostly body weight, core, conditioning and plyometric exercises.  Many noticed faster physical results as well as a new-found joy for fitness.  By changing workout programs daily or weekly, boredom never sets in and clients received a fast track towards results (S.A.I.D Principle).

Who are good candidates for the best home workouts without equipment?

Your in-home workout program is perfect for busy men and women.  Pretty much anyone with a busy schedule and in need of an effective fitness program.  Workout Anywhere is the perfect source for quick and effective “best home workouts without equipment” for all ability levels.  Everyone know of P90x, Insanity and Jillian Michaels DVD’s, but none of these programs are really designed with beginners, intermediate and advanced personnel (all within the same program).  Workout Anywhere addresses this with scalable solutions for all, in a time efficient format (Workout Anywhere uses a mobile platform that streams to your phone, tablet, computer and television. No more DVD’s).  Some workouts are as quick as 15 minutes without any equipment required.  Other workouts recommend bands, but there is a perfect blend of new weekly body weight workouts and band workouts.  This keeps workouts transportable and affordable ($9.95/month).

Workout Anywhere provides cardio workouts at home and without equipment while implementing strength and core training exercises.  Every week, a new workout video is available with some variation of all of these components, to blast fat and tone one’s physique.  On top of new weekly workout videos, Workout Anywhere provides whole food meal plans, nutrition guides, recipes, challenges, coaching, Q and A and community involvement for only $9.95/month.  This is known as their recession proof price, making fitness available for anyone in an all-inclusive, lifestyle building format.
