Almost everyone loves tacos! However, the extra carbs from shells and fat from beef and dairy can make tacos unclean. Use Jessica’s Cleaner Leaner Kitchen recipe to make tacos delicious, nutritious and clean again!
This recipe is a good substitute for your clean meals throughout the week, or a recipe the whole family can enjoy for dinner or lunch!
- 1 Pound Ground Turkey or Bison (for a heart healthy option use sweet potatoes or beans instead)
- 1/2 White Onion Sliced
- 1 Package Taco Seasoning
- 3/4 Cup Water
- Shredded Cheese (use Vegan cheese or skip this ingredient for the healthiest option)
- 1 Avocado Sliced
- Tomato Sliced
- Salsa (Fresh)
In a pan, brown the ground turkey until browned and add sliced onion
Then, add taco Seasoning and water to the ground beef and simmer for five minutes
After, the meat is cooked. Layout your lettuce like a boat to hold your fillings. Sprinkle a half cup of ground turkey meet per lettuce wrap, then add lettuce, sliced tomato, salsa, avocado and enjoy!
