Lateral Step Ups Exercise

One of our favorite lower body exercises, also known as Side Lateral Step Ups, is great for your lower body and core. Watch the video to get started.

Lateral step ups are a great single leg strength exercise for developing stronger glutes, hamstrings and core. Start with a step or small box, and work your way up to a box that forces at least a 90 degree bend in the knee from the starting position. Once you’ve mastered lateral step ups with body weight, start adding some form of resistance.
