Dumbbell Push Press

Whether you have a barbell, kettlebells or dumbells, the push press is the perfect exercise for training the body to transfer power through the kinetic chain. Whether your goal is overall fitness, or your training to be more functionally fit for a port or job (just like our Fire Fit Firefighters), the Dumbbell Push Press can train and tax the shoulders, arms and entire body either as a stand-alone exercise, or as part of a metabolic circuit. Check it out in the video below.

Dumbell Push Press Exercise Details

Stand with your feet hip-width apart and hold a pair of kettlebells, dumbbells or a barbell in front of your chest with your elbows pointing down with your palms facing away from your body. Bring your knees forward to squat down slightly. Keep your heels flat, chest up, and shoulders back.
