Say what? What’s this “Turn It Up Tuesday” call to fitness challenge all about? It’s simple! Every Tuesday, Workout Anywhere posts a new fitness challenge to encourage and challenge one to push harder than normal. Since Tuesday is the perfect in-between day for Workout Anywhere fast and effective workouts, we recommend that you push your aerobic capacity to the next level, hence: Turn It Up Tuesday.
This can be walking, running, biking, basketball, hiking, Zumba, cross-country skiing, a class or whatever is more endurance based. If your Workout Anywhere home workout plan falls on Tuesday, then just push on and push hard at the appropriate ability level/variation.
When In Doubt, Turn It Up Tuesday!
If uncertain of what to do on Turn It Up Tuesday, ask for a good in-between home workout drill. Challenge oneself to go longer and harder than normal. Whether it’s targeting more hills, walking further, or running an extra mile, (or calling your inner Michael Jordan out on the basketball court) Turn it Up!
On top of physically turning it up, share your health and fitness triumphs here at Workout Anywhere or on our Facebook Page. Leading by example inspires others and will motivate for the week (especially on “Turn it Up Tuesday”). Although home workout programs are largely individual based, there is no I in team. Together we are stronger and for that reason, commenting, posting and sharing our own challenges will encourage others to do the same and support the total fitness goal.
With that said, pick your aerobic exercise activity for the day, post how you turned it up and share. We are looking forward to hearing your fitness challenge accomplishments.
Alright, it’s time for my own “Turn it Up Tuesday,” consisting of five rounds of: 10 burpees, 50 double unders (jump rope drill), 20 box jumps and plate pushes for time. Tune in tomorrow for “Workout Anywhere Wednesday.”
