I’ve always been an exercise addict and this part of my fitness was never the issue. Honestly, I often would overdo it and try to outwork my diet. However, once I finally committed to the power of whole foods, balance and respecting my now metabolism, my goals became EASY!
Experience is the best teacher!
Beyond my curriculum at one of Spokane and Eastern Washington’s finest universities (EWU), I continued my education by researching the latest trends and self-applying them. I definitely had my ups and downs. Especially when I competed in women’s figure competing. In fact the challenge circuit nearly ruined my metabolism (thanks to Atkins styled dieting) and set me on a path of trying to resolve metabolic damage for two years.
Honestly, I knew better going into it, but trusted some of the so called “bodybuilding gurus,” who are generally uneducated and practicing “old-school” dieting philosophies. On the positive side, I gained a wealth of real-time education on what not to do (even though my body was the experiment).
To undo the damage, I adopted the Vegan lifestyle for six months, then Paleo for a year and ultimately reverted back to my clean eating ways. I considered IIFYM (If It Fits In Your Macros, aka Flexible Dieting), but it’s honestly not much different than Weight Watchers and rarely do Weight Watcher’s clients live a sustainable, healthy lifestyle on their own.
What is the Spokane Nutrition Coach philosophy?
My philosophy is more health focused over physique focused (ironically, a healthy, fit physique is the outcome), and so far thousands of my members are living a happy, healthy lifestyle because of it! I do cater to what’s in your health and metabolism’s best interests, and ultimately weight loss, better fitness and a tone physique become a part of the new you!
My pre-made and custom plans are a combination of the best macro & micronutrients, along with ideal meal frequency, balance, variety and craving busting recipes your whole family will enjoy.
