Eating 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day can be one of the hardest adjustments to make. After all, you are busy and may feel like you don’t have time to worry about filling your plate with more frequent meals? Eating 5-6 small balanced meals, every three hours throughout the day WILL speed up your metabolism, regulate insulin, and give your body the proper nutrients it needs to be fit and healthy.  Not only that, you will feel energized and in control of your diet and hunger cravings.  Eating two to three big meals throughout the day keeps the body in starvation mode, thus slowing your metabolism.  This means when you eat next your body is in a fat storing, energy-sparing mode.  This makes it very difficult to achieve a healthy, fit and toned physique and almost impossible for releasing body fat.
