Why did the Biggest Loser choose to Workout Anywhere?
Tonight’s episode of the Biggest Loser, September 18, 2014, featured a familiar concept brought to you by home and travel fitness experts Jessica and Justin Rundle. After contestants were banned from the Biggest Loser Ranch gym, challengers were faced with the task of adopting a new fitness routine, known as working out anywhere.
Instead of using equipment, machines or traditional fitness equipment, the Biggest Loser contestants used bodyweight exercises and their surroundings in a metabolic circuit style workout format.

The show’s challengers expressed how deceivingly difficult and demanding it was to work out anywhere, because at home workouts use predominately total body exercises that require compound movements and the use of multiple muscle groups in a single exercise. Using multiple muscle groups in a single exercise can create an exponential caloric burn over single joint movements/exercises.
